Abstract

The Unit for Perioperative Nursing (EPS) has developed a “workshop–
clinical practice method” in connection with implementing
principles for accelerated patient trajectories.
The “workshop–clinical practice method” is a systematic procedure
consisting of four steps
1. Preparations and consensus
2. Implementation
3. Quality assurance
4. Fine tuning.
The method complies with the four steps in the Danish Quality
Model and systematic evidence-based practices. This is described
using a total of 16 patient trajectories with accompanying
clinical guidelines found at the unit’s website www.periopsygepleje.
dk.
The “workshop–clinical practice method” represents a break with
conventional working procedures in the health sector, because
the method promotes interdisciplinary collaboration across organisations
and professions, and thereby an innovative interdisciplinary
working process that links cutting edge research results to
clinical practice has been developed . The method can be used in
various contexts where there is a desire for broader interdisciplinary
collaboration and common objectives concerning
