Fracture Reduction Equipment with Equipment Lists

A wide array of surgical instruments are utilized to make orthopedic surgery more efficient and effective. From initial exposure to final closure, the use of surgical instruments is a vital part of any orthopedic procedure and this chapter will discuss the author’s preferred instrument sets as well as highlight some highly used surgical instruments. Full lists of the instrument sets are included at the conclusion of the chapter. The organization of this chapter will follow the steps of a typical procedure from initial exposure of the fracture site, reduction tools for a standard fracture, and instruments used for closure. Specific fracture treatment methodologies are beyond the scope of this chapter.
