Abstract

REVIEW QUESTION/OBJECTIVE: The objectives of this systematic review are to assess the effectiveness and safety of intravenous therapy at home compared with in-patient intravenous therapy in acute and chronically ill children and adolescents. Outcomes will include improvement of the illness, duration of treatment, clinical complications, adverse effects, mortality, re-admissions and preference for place of care by individuals and/or families.
