N2 - During the last two decades, novel targeted therapies, in particular, »small molecules« for oral administration and monoclonal antibodies, have revolutionized the treatment and prognosis of haematological cancers. Generally, these treatments are well tolerated and therefore suitable for elderly patients. This review presents a short update on the current standard-of-care treatment of elderly patients with haematological cancer.
