Abstract
Pruritus is one of the most frequent and bothersome symptoms of polycythaemia vera and other chronic myeloproliferative disorders. The treatment is often difficult and ineffective. Here, we present four patients with severe pruritus, three of whom were successfully treated with paroxetin, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor.
