Intro: a project investigating seasonal variation in psychiatric referrals with a focus on diagnoses and living conditions.
Metoder: using register data we will investigate seasonal variation and distribution of patient diagnoses and number of referrals and predictors to referrals, including living condition.
Resultater (forventede): We expect that patient with mood disorders will have more referrals in the winter season and that patients living in apartments with low daylight availability will have a larger referral rate.
Diskussion/Impact (forventet): If the seasonal influences are confirmed, we will use this to target treatment options to reduce the variation bye testing the effect of changes in living condition, lighting systems and/daylight behavior. The results can also have an impact on lighting conditions in the workplace and lead to suggested changes in legislation.
