Intro. Misnfulness has been suggested as a treatment for sexual dysfunctions. Only small uncontrolled studies primarily on women exist.
Metode:
A RCT which aims to evaluate the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of an 6-week Mindfulness intervention for Sex and Intimacy in Relationships (MSIR) as a supplement to sex therapy, compared to treatment-as-usual (TAU), on a clinical sample of 45 men and women referred with sexual difficulties.45 participants (19 women and 26 men) referred to Sexological Clinic, Psychiatric Centre Copenhagen with sexual problems such as decreased desire, erectile dysfunction or orgasmic/ejaculatory dysfunction. Patients were randomized to either TAU (n=22) or an 6-week MSIR group program followed by TAU (n=23). The MSIR intervention was adapted to sex therapy from the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy protocol. The primary outcome measure was sexual functioning measured by validated questionnaires
