Formål: The study is a PhD-study and the purpose is to examine what risks and benefits younger people with mental health vulnerabilities attribute to their cannabis use, how this informs their patterns of use in navigating daily life and how the findings connect to theories of addiction and theories of addiction and mental health interactions. The study adopts a systems theory and ecological perspective – originally developed in a cognitive science context - in order to address the heterogeneity and complexity characterizing the dual diagnosis field.
Metode: Literature studies, longitudinally arranged qualitative interviews, field observations, theoretical models.
Results: It is expected that the project will qualify our knowledge about dual diagnosis and interactions among importance factors.
Discussion: Dual diagnosis is a complex phenomenon and the prognosis is influenced by a whole range of factors. This project focus on mapping the interactions of relevant factors thus helping guiding relevant interactions.
