Primære forskningsområder

My scientific interest lies within the field of behavioural and psychosocial support for people with diabetes. At present, my research covers investigating, developing, and implementing innovative educational methods and tools to support communication between healthcare professionals and people with diabetes as well as peer-support among people with diabetes. This includes a particular focus on approaches supporting the development of healthcare professionals’ skills including methods to address psychosocial and behavioural aspects of living with diabetes.

My research draws on action research, design based research, and theory driven evaluation. This has involved the target groups in the research process and included training of healthcare professionals’ skills.
