Primære forskningsområder

My research has mainly been focused on the role of early environmental factors, especially vitamin D, and later risk of developing autoimmune diseases, especially type 1 diabetes, in childhood and adolescence. Furthermore, I/we have also examined the association between circulating immune mediators, at birth and around time of diagnosis, and type 1 diabetes etiology/pathogenesis.
