I work as team leader and senior researcher at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen. My research has primarily focused on social and ethnic inequalities in health. I am responsible for larger interdisciplinary research projects including funding, conceptualisation, data collection, analyses, communication, coordination of collaborators, and management of students, researchers and interns connected to the projects.

My interest lies in the field of behavioural and psychosocial diabetes research aiming at developing and evaluating interventions targeting hardly reached groups such as ethnic minorities and people with mental illness and type 2 diabetes. My research draws on design-based research where the target group is actively involved in the research process.

Former and present research includes development and implementation of educational tools and  methods for diabetes education and support including professional development of educators.
