Vascular surgery; Postoperative complications; Smoking cessation

Randomized controlled trial assessing the effect of smoking cessation on the day of surgery and the potential effect on postoperative complications in vascular surgery. Unfortunately the project was terminated prematurely due to lack of patient inclusion. I have also done a retrospective evaluation of the risk factors for postoperative complications in vascular surgery patient population using data from the Danish Vascular Registry.
