I have no financial interests that could influence my research.

I am currently doing research in the field of oxygen treatment in chronic respiratory failure. I am investigating whether keeping the patient’s oxygen saturation within a target interval from 90-94% could have a clinical impact on the patient’s ability to be active. For this purpose, I am using a variety of technical equipment, like automated oxygen devices, pulse oximeters, oxygen concentrators, and activity sensors.  I have not received fees, honoraria, gifts, or funding from the involved compagnies: O2matic Aps, Medical Danmark, Linde, Nonin Medical or SENS Innovation ApS. The companies are not involved in protocol writing, data analysis, or interpretation, or in any other way in the writing or editing of my manuscript.

I have been collaborating with the software developer at O2matic Aps to improve the automated home oxygen device on hand from the feedback from the patients, and my experiences and concerns as a health care professional dealing with new technology.

I have received fees for writing textbook chapters about respiratory physiotherapy (Munksgaard), for organizing post-graduate courses (Danish Physical Therapy Organization), and for giving lectures (The Danish Organization of General Practitioners (PLO), Region Midtjylland, various hospitals etc.).
