Expertise

Since 1999 I have worked with ultrasound as a tool for diagnosis and monitoring in inflammatory arthritis both in clinical practise and in research . Obtained the PhD degree from Copenhagen university in 2004 with the dissertation "Ultrasound for the detection and quantification of inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis". Since 2012 worked 50% in research within Copenhagen centre for arthritis research (COPECARE). Have been organising and teaching in ultrasound on national and international courses since 2005 and has been a part of the EULAR faculty since 2005 and have lead the development of EFSUMB ultrasound competency assessments for musculoskeletal ultrasound in rheumatology. Have more than 90 peer-reviewed publications and 7 book chapters on rheumatology and ultrasound. I am a part of the EULAR training and research centre for imaging in COPECARE

Since 2016 I have been the EULAR chair of standing committee of musculoskeletal imaging  and the co-chair of OMERACT Ultrasound task force.
