As a medical anthropologist I have worked with a range of different research project in the fields of psychiatry and drug addiction treatment in Denmark. Through these projects, I have gained extensive knowledge about psychiatry, dual diagnosis, drug addiction treatment, forensic psychiatry and trans-cultural psychiatry. A special focus in my research has been on the challenges that different kind of vulnerable patients creates for the treatment system.
My main research methods are participant observation, qualitative interviews and document studies.

I currently work on three projects:
1. A study of the relationship between dual diagnosis and mechanical restraint
2. A study of protective and risk factors for dual diagnosis during the life course as well as for the prognosis of dual diagnosis patients
3. A study of the organization of the dual diagnosis field in Denmark
