Primære forskningsområder

My research is focused on individual differences in human brain and behavioural development, and on how environmental (e.g. stress, physical activity, alcohol use), genetic and hormonal (e.g. cortisol, sex hormones) factors modulate such development. I study this by employing multimodal neuroimaging techniques, behavioural and clinical assessments, and hormonal sampling.

Aktuel forskning

My current research is within the HUBU (Hjernens Udvikling hos Børn og Unge; Brain Maturation in Children and adolescents) project. The HUBU project started in 2007, and have since collected comprehensive longitudinal (up to 12 assessments) behavioural, clinical and multimodal brain imaging data with high temporal resolution within the last nine years from a cohort of 94 children and adolescents. The overarching goal is to link developing cognitive and emotional functions to individual differences in brain maturational trajectories of specific neural circuits, and to examine the impact of genetic variability, hormones and environmental factors on such development.
