Main research areas are studies of resistance of HCV to antivirals and HCV vaccine development with focus on whole virus inactivated and virus like particle vaccine candidates.
We are characterizing the efficacy of antivirals and combinations of antivirals against different HCV variants. We further study HCV resistance to antivirals including identification of resistance associated substitutions and mechanisms of resistance development.
We investigate development of HCV vaccine candidates. We are establishing a bioprocess for development of whole viral particle inactivated vaccine candidates. We are testing such vaccine candidates and vaccine candidates based on virus like particles.
