Primære forskningsområder

I am Head of Research at Competence Centre for Transcultural Psychiatry (CTP), Co-PI at CultMind as well as a Research Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen. My time is therefore divided between leadership, research and research supervision, clinical work and teaching.

My primary research areas include clinical research on the treatment of trauma-affected individuals and transcultural psychiatry. I have extensive experience in designing and conducting randomized clinical trials, focusing on improving treatments for trauma-affected populations with PTSD. I am one of the main contributors to the development of the Treatment and Research Integrated Model (TRIM) at CTP. This model illustrates how research can be closely integrated with the clinical work conducted at a treatment unit and how research can provide clinically useful insights back to the clinic.

I have authored numerous scientific papers related to my research areas and have established a growing and dynamic research group at both CTP and Trauma Research and Treatment (TREAT)   at Mental Health Centre Ballerup. I collaborate actively with clinicians and researchers both nationally and internationally.
