Forskningsområde

My research areas are focused on health promotion and interventions, with a primary focus on stigma and risk communication concerning cardiometabolic conditions in pregnancy. In my PhD I investigated the stigma associated with having gestational diabetes mellitus through a multi-method approach.

Aktuel forskning

In my Postdoc, I am the project coordinator of the CRISP project - Communicating RISks associated with cardiometabolic conditions in Pregnancy. Here, we will investigate how risks associated with cardiometabolic conditions in pregnancy can be communicated without inducing unnecessary fear, stigmatisation, and medicalisation. This will be explored through various methods, including interview studies, questionnaires, and co-creation workshops.

I am employed at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, a public hospital and research institution under the Capital Region of Denmark, which is partly funded by a grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation. In addition, I have been involved in the Face-it project, which has has received funding from the Novo Nordisk Foundation under grant agreement No NNF16OC0027826. Finally, I have received funding for my Postdoc from The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy, which is also funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
