Aktuel forskning

My current research focus on increasing activity level of older patients during and after an acute admission. The project is based on three studies that will develop an intervention to increase activity among older patients admitted with acute medical illness. The intervention will be developed in collaboration with patients, relatives, researchers and health professionals from both the medical ward and the municipality.

The project uses a research design that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. By continuously involving patients, relatives and health care providers throughout the project, we wish to design an intervention that takes the barriers and opportunities experienced by patients, relatives and health care providers into account in order to increase the activity level both at the hospital and in the municipality.
