Expert in microsurgery, breast reconstruction, reconstructive microsurgery. President of the Danish Microsurgical Society, national representive at the European Federation of Microsurgical Societies (EFSM), the only Danish member of EURAPS, European Association of Plastic Surgeons.

Main scientific focus areas are microsurgery, fast track surgery, with a PhD in autologous breast reconstruction and clinical application of steam cells. Special interest breast reconstruction, innovation, new surgical techniques, nerve decompression.

Aktuel forskning

Impact of autologous breast reconstruction on pain and lymphedema, fast track surgery in reconstruction after head and neck cancer, the use of allogenic steam cells in the treatment of burns.
