Primære forskningsområder

Forskningsområder:

Jeg arbejder primært med psykotraumatologi og PTSD. Jeg har gennemført projekter om behandling af traumatiserede flygtninge. Jeg har endvidere medvirket til evaluering af PTSD-behandling i psykiatrien. Aktuelt er jeg engageret i tre forskningsprojekter, hvoraf de to er i den spæde begyndelse og et er ved at blive afsluttet.

Prævalensen af traumer blandt psykiatriske patienter

I 2018 gennemførtes med finansiering fra Weimans Stipendium en pilotundersøgelse af forekomsten af traumer og symptomer på PTSD blandt indlagte patienter med svær psykisk lidelse (affektive sygdomme og psykoser). Der er blevet gennemført 150 interviews med indlagte patienter og aktuelt er dataanalyser under udarbejdelse. Projektet peger på en særdeles høj forekomst af traumer og PTSD-symptomer blandt psykiatriens kerne-målgruppe.

Traumebehandling af patienter med svær psykisk sygdom

Resultaterne af ovenstående undersøgelse gør det aktuelt at undersøge, hvorledes patienter med svær psykisk lidelse kan hjælpes med senfølger efter psykiske traumer. Der findes internationalt særdeles lille erfaring på dette område. Størstedelen af den behandling, der tilbydes for PTSD og traumereaktioner, gives til patienter med ikke-psykotisk lidelse.

Projektet søger således i første omgang at afdække den eksisterende evidens på området med et litteraturstudie. Samtidig vil en arbejdsgruppe udarbejde anbefalinger til, hvilken behandling, der kunne tilbydes til patienter med psykose (sygdom inden for F20-spketrumet). Anbefalingerne vil blive afprøvet i et pilotstudie og protokol er under udarbejdelse.
