Aktuel forskning

My primary lines of research focus on optimizing treatment of patients with schizophrenia by individualizing their medical treatment, as well as finding, or optimizing, treatment for patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD). In this quest, I focus among others on: unraveling the affected neurotransmission in schizophrenia, developing more accurate animal models for schizophrenia, the etiology of schizophrenia, ADHD and ASD, on PTSD and on gender related issues. As a trained electrophysiologist and head of two psychophysiological laboratories, I developed the Copenhagen Psychophysiological Test-Battery (the CPTB) which is specifically aimed to study basic information processing in schizophrenia and other related psychiatric disorders.
