Expertise
My lab has strong expertise in the generation and analysis of mice harboring mutations affecting self-renewal and differentiation of both normal hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells as well as their leukemic counterparts. We are especially strong in flow-cytometry based cell sorting, functional characterization of hematopoietic populations, sequencing based gene expression and epigenetic analyses as well as in the downstream bioinformatics processing of the resulting data.
Primære forskningsområder
Hematopoietic Stem Cells and Leukemic Stem Cells in mouse and man.
Aktuel forskning
My lab is broadly interested in mechanisms governing the behavior of normal and malignant stem cells within the hematopoietic system with focus on molecules involved in transcriptional and epigenetic control. Currently, we have particular focus on elucidating the tumor-suppressive and oncogenic roles of a number of epigenetic regulators.
