Aktuel forskning

Identification of patients with vulnerable carotid plaques could improve patient selection before carotid surgery. There are a need for improved vascular imaging of patients with carotid artery stenosis to identify patients with vulnerable plaques. Using 3D ultrasound and PET/MRI imaging before carotid endarterectomy on symptomatic patients and comparing the results with the removed plaques I hope to improve preopeartive imaging and patient selection.
