My expertise is in the field of medical psychology with a main focus on cancer and palliative care. The past 14 years I have been involved in several research projects exploring the experiences of patients with cancer and testing the effects of health care interventions aimed at improving quality of life for the patients and their families. The studies have used a variety of designs, e.g. randomized controlled trial, cross sectional questionnaire surveys and qualitative interviews.

I teach questionnaire development, qualitative methods and medical psychology at the University of Southern Denmark and Copenhagen University.
