Focus areas

Mental disorders: anxiety, depression, mania, schizophrenia, self-harm and suicidal behaviour.

Aims and objectives

We aim to advance understanding of the complex biological, psychological, and environmental interrelations underlying affective disorders to both prevent the development and halt the progression of these severe, potentially disabling disorders.

Our research bridges the areas of translating psychopathology and neurobiology into clinical settings with a primary focus on the early stages and aims to:

§\tidentify clinically relevant risk and resilience factor including peripheral biomarkers in affective disorders

§\tdevelop new combination of medical, psychological, and social individualized treatments targeting prevention of onset and recurrence in affective disorders and thereby improve overall functioning and quality of life
