Organisationsprofil

Aims and objectives

About 80% of our patients are acutely admitted, and the department has the highest number of acute pediatric cases in Denmark. The hospital has the highest number of deliveries, and we have a large department of neonatally. Furthermore the department has a high specialised function of children with gastroenterological diseases, HIV and acquired cerebral damage.

From 2017 the age of the patients will be up to 18 years and consequently the department will transform to a department for children and young people. We strive to deliver professional and evidence treatment and care. We also prioritise education highly and train many medical students, junior doctors, nursing students and medical secretary students. Moreover we prioritise research and development.
