Aims and objectives
The Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine has a special interest in population-based and clinical epidemiology with focus on occupational and environmental issues. With more than two thousand outpatient contacts annually we aim to combine our research with our clinical daily life. We collaborate with national and international partners in our research and find it important to recruit and educate young researchers.
Focus areas
Our research focuses on reproductive health, work-related stress, return to work, and occupational musculoskeletal, skin and lung diseases.
Disciplines, methods and tools
We use nationwide population-based register data and perform field studies in workplaces seeking to answer causal questions. Emphasis is also on exposure studies, intervention research and implementation research.
