These Workshops were initiated in 1980 by Professor Niels E. Skakkebæk to discuss the importance of carcinoma in situ testis (now known as germ cell neoplasia in situ, GCNIS) and have since grown to the only meeting worldwide devoted to testicular cancer. The Workshops have always been held at Rigshospitalet and organised by the staff of the Department of Growth & Reproduction, a unique research and patient care unit active within two overlapping fields of paediatric endocrinology and andrology. A broad spectrum of topics pertinent to the pathogenesis, epidemiology, genetics, molecular biology, and management of testicular cancer will be discussed at the Workshop. We have been lucky to secure participation of internationally renowned speakers, and we have received tens of very interesting abstracts of high scientific quality.
