Current research

IPD-Work Consortium (individual-participant data meta-analysis in working populations): A co-operation between european cohort studies comprising up to 200,000 respondents, providing information about psychosocial work envirionment, life-style and health etc. Follow-up is done in diagnosis- and medicine-registers, and metaanalyses of published studies and unpublished data from the IPD-Work cohorts are performed.

Projects in preparation based on patient data from the Unit of Social Medicine.


Danish, English and Swedish fluently. German to a more restricted level.

Research and teaching information

Research experience:

During medical school participation in a study on health effects of air pollution from traffic in Copenhagen roadworkers.

1996-2004 The National Research Center for the Working Environment: Intervention Project on Absence and Well-being (IPAW). Ph.d.-thesis based on this, and the data are included in present research in the IPD-Work Consortium.

Further participation in other projects at the institute and later in the departments of occupational medicine in Hillerød and Bispebjerg hospitals, including the project Organisational change, Stress and Health (OSH) on stress and health related to reorganisations associated with the Danish reform of municipal and regional government 2007.

Teaching experience

Teaching for medical students in Occupational and Social medicine. Teaching at Ph.D.- and other courses. Presentations at meetings and conferences. Supervising students and younger researchers.
